Maggie Dougherty is a foreign policy and international development leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing U.S. engagement on global humanitarian, human rights, and multilateral issues.

Prior to joining the Malnutrition Advocacy Fund, Maggie served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for International Organizations at the National Security Council. She previously served as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Earlier roles included serving as Senior Policy Advisor at the United States Mission to the United Nations, Senior Congressional Liaison at the British Embassy in Washington, and foreign policy advisor to U.S. Senator Marco Rubio.

Throughout her public service career, she helped shape bipartisan legislation, strengthen oversight of international institutions, and advance U.S. leadership on global challenges.

Today, Maggie serves as Vice President at the Malnutrition Advocacy Fund, where she leads advocacy efforts to mobilize political will, influence policy, and increase investments to combat global malnutrition around the world.

Maggie earned a Bachelor of Science in Diplomacy and International Relations, summa cum laude, from Seton Hall University and a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
